A new garden designed around an existing mid-century home planted in the winter of 2023
This new garden surrounds a large mid-century home. The rear garden was terraced to incorporate a large raised pool and to eliminate the need for extensive pool fencing. The rest of the block grades with the slope of the land. Blended with the surrounding levels and softened with planting over time. The existing driveway was to be maintained with the option of retained it for budget. Subsequently, entry paths were curved and graded where possible with rough edges to bleed into the massed groundcover planting A copse of Golden Rain Trees will, over time provide a canopy to walk under upon entering. In the back garden extensive vegetable gardens and fruit trees were added for the clients. As well as massed perennials, banks of changing plantings, and ground covers.
