Toorak garden design is a time lapse collaboration with Architect Michael Jan and Jack Merlo (originally commissioned to design the garden).

We were called in to rethink the feel of the garden providing a less formal approach to the outdoor space. The pool was retained from Jack’s original landscape plan while we reinterpreted the hard surfaces and plantings.

We spent a great deal of time consulting with the stone suppliers BAMSTONE in Port Fairy and Hendersons in Melbourne sourcing the right rocks to make the bespoke paving. Boulders were hand picked and cut to our specifications to create the unique surface at the front entrance and rear courtyards. The two stone benches and large standing stone were also carved from boulders and craned into position. The hard landscape is complimented by lush, flowing plantings to create an intimate space which reflects the changing seasons.
